"Help Musicians" award winners, local duo Candacraig, will be launching their new album “Thunder of Whispers” with a live show at the Sleaford Playhouse Theatre on Friday, October the 21st.
Singer Sharon Cannings and guitarist Martin Nicholls will be accompanied by a full band comprised of a wealth of local talent: Sleaford personality Chris (Christmas) Clark will take time out from Basil Brush to fulfil duties on bass and backing vocals, Krim Palmer of Shug Studios, Soaper and Bear Makes Ninja will be on drums and Michael (Twitch) Latham of Fresh 90s and international touring artist Maxx, is on keyboards.
In addition to their neo prog/folk/singer songwriter repertoire, the duo will be treating the audience to a selection of songs by the artists who have influenced their debut album. So expect music from the likes of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and The Who, amongst others. Some locals might remember Sharon and Martin from Time is Money, a local Pink Floyd tribute act that sold out the Sleaford Playhouse Theatre in 2015.
“Cinematic anthems and dark, twisted tales” abound from this duo with multi-layered light and 3D projections making this an event not to be missed.
