Drama Takes Centre Stage This September

We've got a busy September in stall at The Playhouse, with three very different productions bringing the stage to life and kicking off an exciting season of theatre.

Sleaford Little Theatre will be first to step up as they perform Blue Stockings, Jessica Swale’s acclaimed play about the first women admitted to study at Cambridge University. Directed by Maria Bates, you can expect another quality production with lots of exciting talent in a moving story about the students of Girton College fighting for their right to an education and a voice in a changing world.

Two weeks later, we're welcoming another visiting company to The Playhouse as Gone Rogue Theatre come to town with Art, Yasmina Reza's sharp and brilliantly funny comedy about friendship, art and one very expensive white painting. While the cast list may feature three colourful names, we're fairly sure we've seen those faces somewhere around the Playhouse before... It's a different kind of comedy, packed with razor-sharp dialogue, big laughs and just enough disagreement to keep everyone talking on the way home.

And September doesn’t stop there. Playhouse favourites Hambledon Productions round the month off with The Phantom Raspberry Blower of Old London Town, adding another dose of comedy and theatrical fun to an already packed month.
